One day, you will look back at your life,
it might be terrified you
that how much free time we had lost doing meanless things like this.
It even hurts when I imagine...
It's everbody's choice and life.
Don't let other people to make your choice.

Pencereden her baktığınızda yüzünüze vuran sarsıcı gerçek, tüm evrenin rastlantısallık üzerine kurulmuş olduğudur.'

Film Projectors

Hallo alle zusammen,

As a mechanical engineer, I am interested in how mechanisms work. After few years in school I started to look at things like I didn't see before. I find myself asking some questions, how does it work, why is that knuckle used etc. It is valid even for a toy.

One of the mechanisms I find interessting is film projectors. How a camera takes a picture, I get that. But filming one, to combine bunch of frames without our eyes noticing, that is what I admire the most.

I love watching movies. I can count so many reasons. When I go to a cinema, before the movie start, I like to hear that projectors working noise like 'trrrrrrr'. I prefer to sit at backside of hall and not just because the view is better to see, it is also to hear that sound. It gives me a little excitement about the movie, a little joy. With that I can notice the difference between watching a movie on my laptop and watching it at cinema. But popcorn is a plus too, of course.

Here is a video about how the mechanism works,

It seems a very old clip, it's almost like it was taken right after the projectors invention. But the jobs of the parts are elucidated clearly. Film projectors consists of 4 main parts. These are the wheels to storage, the lenses to focus the light, the lamps to transmit the frame to the screen and the audio system to us can hear.

Apart from the video,

As you see above, there are two slacks on film. The first one, above the gate, is for allowing the shutter proceeds to the next frame without tearing the film. The second one, under the gate, is for the photosensor can sense certain amount of light at a given time to transform it into current so that after current can be transformed to voices, as we hear from speakers. You may ask why there is a distance between these two slacks. The distance ensures that the picture and the sound synced perfectly. The distance is about 26 frames.

Another fascinating thing is that the whole system is driven by single motor.

Here is all I know about film projectors. Hope you like it.

Bis bald!

Gölyazı

Ola todo mundo,

So in this blog there are some pictures that I took from Apolyont, its common name is Gölyazı which is a lake village in my city, actually a peninsula on the lake which has a fame about that natural situation and also has a fame about the fish called Turna which is a rare lake fish which is very delicious, I took these photos in February 2016, but since I started to share my photos around here I also wanted to share these too. Enjoy... :)

The peninsula is over there, right where the mosque is. I don't have a plane or drone something, unfortunately, so I couldn't show you the whole point of Gölyazı, but just google it there are plenty air photos there.

This fisherman actually smiled to me to take his picture. So hi there again...

The Turna fish that I talked about earlier of the blog. There are some restaurants in the village to eat fresh fish.

The trees also have rights to swim in the lake, not a strange thing to see.

This one is my favourite. I am really glad to capture this dogs looking to the view like it was thinking of his lover or the bills he has to pay something. I always love to dramatize things, sorry.

Well... It's a place with a lake, of course I had to take this one. All the important things are combined in one capture like lake, :D , boats, lake flowers, birds with sunset... Honestly, it was such a nice view to see. For me, the last one is perfect for facebook background but just saying, no pushing, only an expression...

Boa noite povo!

Kumyaka Köyü

It's been a really long time since I get my camera out, walk around, take some pictures and enjoy the view. The biggest reason is that I don't like the city I live. Most of the historical buldings are destroyed and replaced with new ugly buildings. There is no spirit and this is bugging me a lot. But some citizens are actually a fan of here. I guess it's something that I could never understand.

Only places that I find some spirit are villages because in there people are trying to protect some stuff still. Today we went to a village called Kumyaka Köyü. It was very nice to see around and the pictures that I took are in the below. Hope you can enjoy as much as I do.

Do you see the green house which has a really big terrace? That one is my favourite because I love big terraces, I think it's more important than having a big livingroom or kitchen or bedroom or bathroom whatever. It would be very comforting to lay on a lounger, grab a drink and enjoy the view.

I also really like this house because of the its elderliness and its garden is covered with various type of trees and flowers and it sees sea too.

An old church called Hegios Taxiarchoi Church and the monograms inside of its columns say its name Eusebios. Its construction time is about 780-797 which is coming from the time of Emperor Constantine VII of The Byzantine Empire.

Some views of its narrow streets.

This one is my favourite. It's like nature is created is own frame to the view of sea. I love sea&tree combined views.

And here is the last photo... Say hi to my little friends^^

I don't want to sound like an old lady who discovers internet just new but...

...but these things matter.

Sometimes we should really think through about this. For example my severalizing question is that, what if a very bad thing happened to that person, all of a sudden, maybe an accident, what would I feel after, is there anything left to say that I didn't before, just because I was too shy about it or the circumstances just weren't right? What an awful feeling must have been!

I wish people just can be able to manage theirselves better and be more honest about their feelings,
before it's too late.

Hello there,

I decided to collect all of the good songs I've been listening time to time since I was very young. In this list, the songs don't have a specific type of music and I didn't order them with types so if you don't like one just check out the next one. The list is getting better when you're closer to the end of it.

But I should warn you at the beginning, they are not rap. Of course they are not rap. Why would a normal human being wants to listen rap anyway? Seriously I don't get that. I'm sorry but this is my honest feeling.

I think these are the songs that can't be argued about how good they are. So don't worry. You probably heard it from some place else before, just don't know the name or the singer.

Most of the songs are older than my age, so you might think how do I know them. For that question I should thank to my beautiful sister, and some of the TV series like Cold Case, Gilmore Grils etc...

But if you also know the songs than... Give me an imaginary high five, you are rock!

How Many 'Greens' Have You Seen In Your Life?

Today I learned an expression from a book i've been reading lately, in my opinion a very cute one. An expression coming from Old Turkish people who lived in Asia as an immigrant.

In many cultures on the planet see spring as an holy season and many cultures have celebrations about it. Personally spring is my favourite season too even though it has an allergy effect on me. Because i really like to see awakening of the nature. To see little ones growing much bigger, to hear the birds singing again, to eat the spring fruids you waited for entire winter (plum especially, right?), to feel the wind passing through your face softly, to see the world has started to be painted in all different colors... Spring brings aliveness to all of us. After cold dark winter, to see the sun almost everyday breeds an unexplainable joy into your body and soul like it breeds to nature.

In Old Turkish language age means, green, young and life. That's why counting years starts not in the date as we know new year, it starts with the spring.

Let's get back to the expression i learned. If i say, i have seen 21 greens, what would you understand from it?  I think you can guess. It means, i have seen 21 springs, and that means simply i am 21 years old. Isn't it cute? Green is one of my favourite color and i found this very cute.

I don't know how many greens you have seen in your life but i wish you all to see countless greens with joy and peace.

A little note, the book i've been reading is 'Yorgun Heykel' and the author is Üstün Dökmen.

Chain Reaction Of Tranquility

Sometimes i feel so useless in my life that makes me wonder what is the purpose that keeps me alive. It's because that i don't have any benefit to earth. But i don't do anything bad too. Well... As far as i thought, anyway. But a month ago, one little and good thing happened and this gave me a some sort of relief.

So i was thinking about what can i do to get away from this thought. And i decided to plant something so with that i could be useful to earth. But i haven't planted anything entire my life that's why i was kind of postponing too. Useless and lazy... Very bad combination!

In Turkish traditions we have a day called 'Hıdırellez'. In that day basically, we celebrate spring, jump over a small bonfire, write or draw our wishes on a piece of paper, combine it with money and tie it to a rose plant with something red and we belive 'Hızır' will make our wishes come true. The last two things are very important. If you don't do that, 'Hızır' can't find your wish! So if you want to try one day, remember that. And if you wonder what is 'Hızır', well... People are saying lots of things about that but i prefer to belive that it is a natural phenomenon which symbolizes abundance of spring.

As we are a typical turkish family, we bought very beautiful 3 rose plants which have very big roses in each branch. I drew and wrote my wishes on a paper because i don't know which one Hızır more prefers. Anyways i tied it to my rose with 1 TL with red latch because i couldn't find a red rope. Theoretically, i've done what is necessary. Oh by the way, the money you tied it up with, after Hıdırellez, you need to keep it in your wallet a year if you want more of it. A little superstition won't hurt ya!

After Hıdırellez, we sticked to 3 roses. We are living in an apartment and we couldn't keep roses on our balcony because rose soils were full of ants! So while we were thinking what to with them, i ran across with watchman of our site who has interests about flowers and we talked about the roses.

He said he has just bought a house next to sea with the money he barely collected, he wanted to plant roses and he asked if he can take ours. So i let him to take a look at them, he said that he has never seen this kind of big and many roses on one plant and the place he was going to plant them is just very right for them. So he took the plants and he was very happy about it.

I know this story isn't a big deal but in some aspects it made me happy. It was like a chain reaction. I was wanting to plant something so i can convince myself that i am not such a useless person for earth. Then, the day Hıdırellez came, we bought roses, and we gave them to someone who is very willing to take. With that i made someone happy and so i am happy and did something for earth too. Both done!

So if you are feeling bad too, why don't you think about planting something? Worked for me. Who knows, who will be happy at the end of the day!

Beijinhos.
